Every Canadian
As an everyday Canadian the best way you can help is by getting the word out. Send the website link to your contacts and ask them to send it to theirs. Put the link out on Facebook and LinkedIn. It may take some time and if you think about doing something else first, or getting to it later, click this link A Pittance Of Time and you'll understand why you can't wait.
Buy Poppies, for you, for your friends and family, for co-workers and wear them all week.
Show your support by buying a car magnet
Somehow find the time to take your children to the Cenotaph. Make sure they know why they are there and what it all means. Dig through the family photo albums so they understand and can pass on your family's history of service.
Lead the charge at your workplace and talk to HR about instituting the Canadian Legion's two minutes of silence; after all it really is just a pittance of time.
If you're convinced then please convince someone else to take action!
And perhaps most important of all don't forget to thank a veteran for your freedom. I was standing next to a veteran on Remembrance Day and at the end of the service a young man he had never met came up shook his hand and simply said "Thank You". That old warrior's eyes welled up and he simply nodded in silence.
This November 11th please find the time to Remember.
